Vintage collection 1

Da quando mi occupo di fotografia e sopratutto con l'avvento dell'era digitale, capita spesso che mi vengano regalate delle vecchie macchine fotografiche a pellicola alcune molto antiche.
Ho iniziato cosi' senza volerlo una piccola collezione il cui pezzo principale è la Voigtlander Bessa II che era appartenuta a mio nonno e che, assieme alla Canon FT di mio padre, sono state le prime macchine fotografiche con cui da bambino mi sono messo a giocare.
Mentre la seconda fu venduta, la Bessa è rimasta in famiglia e ora è la numero uno della mia collezione sia perche' e' stata la prima che ho aggiunto alla mia lista sia perche' e' quella a cui sono piu' affezionato.

Voigtlander e' la piu' antica azienda costruttrice di macchine fotografiche perche' fondata nel 1756 in Austria e il modello Bessa II fu costruito negli anni del dopoguerra con caratteristiche avanzate per l'epoca come un'ottica di alta qualita' (un 105mm f3.5), messa a fuoco a telemetro e possibilita' di utilizzare pellicole medio formato o normale.
Fu una delle ultime compatte a soffietto, sostituite ben presto dalle macchine di nuova generazione come le Leica con ottica intercambiabile.
L'azienda esiste tutt'ora e costruisce le Bessa III analogiche e relative ottiche.

Since I am in photography affairs and above all with the coming of the digital era, it often happens that somebody give me old film cameras for free.
So I started without planning a small collection where the main piece is the Voightlander Bessa II once belonged to my grandfather and that, together with my father's Canon FT, had been the first photographic cameras I used to play with when I was a child.
While the second was sold, the Bessa staid in family and now is my collection's number one either because was the first I added to it and because it is the one I am most in love with.

Voigtlander is the most ancient camera manufacturer company because was founded in 1756 in Austria and the Bessa II model was issued just after the war with advanced features for that period as high quality optics (a 105mm f3.5), telemeter focusing system and the possibility to use medium or normal format films.
Was one of the last bellows compacts, shortly moved out by new generation cameras like the Leicas with interchangeable optics.
The brand still exists nowadays and builds the analogic Bessa III and its optics.

Le bomboniere solidali - The charity favors

Sono felice di aver contribuito con le mie immagini alla promozione di questa iniziativa benefica del CAF Onlus che, in collaborazione con Angelo Garini, ha ideato una linea di bomboniere e cuscini per le fedi il cui ricavato andrà interamente devoluto a sostegno dei bambini e delle famiglie bisognosi di aiuto.

Se state per sposarvi quindi perchè non pensare a queste bomboniere originali e sostenere un progetto solidale?

I'm happy to contribute with my images to this charity initiative by CAF Onlus that, in partnership with Angelo Garini, designed a favor and ring pillow set the which income will be entirely destinated to support families and children needing help.

Il movimento delle immagini - The images movement

 

A metà strada tra una immagine e un filmato, i "cinemagraphs" della fotografa newyorkese Jamie Beck e del grafico Kevin Burg sono un esperimento visivo che porta la fotografia ad una nuova dimensione.
Di fatto sono delle gif animate di fotografie in cui solo un piccolo particolare si muove, rendendo il tutto davvero avvincente.

In between of an image and a film clip, "cinemagraphs" created by the newyorker photographer Jamie Beck and the graphic designer Kevin Burg are a visual experiment that brigns photography to a new dimension.
They actually are animated photograph gifs where only a small detail is moving, turning the whole really amazing.
Very interesting!
